When working in BESTMIX Quality Control, by default every window you open, opens up in a separate tab (called "Tabbed MDI - multiple document interface" ).

In some cases, users prefer another window configuration. The following possibilities are available in BESTMIX Quality Control:

• Multi window mode: Tabbed MDI: Default configuration
• Single window mode: No tabbed MDI: Only 1 window can be open at the same time. Before the new window opens, the window that's currently opened will be closed
• Multi window mode: Cascade - Multiple windows are allowed, but are not organized in tabs. This tool is particularly useful if you want to compare data. (See screenshot below)

How to modify the window configuration

Multi window mode

In this drop down you also see ‘Close all documents’. This tool can be used to close all the windows at the same time, instead of closing the windows one by one.

NOTE: when choosing ‘cascade’, 2 extra options become available: ‘Tile horizontally’ and ‘tile vertically’. This will organize the windows next to each other (horizontally) or on top of each other (vertically).

Single window mode

Go to ‘Settings and options’. In the ‘General’ section there is a checkbox available to swith to single window mode.
