This week's tips & tricks is about when you wonder whilst formulating in BESTMIX feed formulation if your current result is the most optimal solution.  

Well, just look at the bottom of the screen to see the current status of the optimization.  The following values are possible:

• Optimal
• Optimal, Changed. The composition has been optimized, but the constraints have been modified afterwards
• Suboptimal
• Infeasible
• Infeasible, Changed: The solution is infeasible and a constraint has been modified afterwards
• Loaded: The composition has not been optimized yet
• Loaded, Changed: The composition has not been optimized yet and constraints have been modified.
• Manual: The ingredient amounts have been entered manually.
