Formulating rations is a continuous process of changing parameters and constraints and re-optimizing your formula. These changes are not always resulting in a better solution, so sometimes you want to restore a former optimization result. With the snapshot functionality in BESTMIX Formulation as a Service you can easily restore a previous optimization result.

How does it work?

To save a optimization result (called a ‘Snapshot’), click on the Camera icon in the ribbon. In the composition, the analysis and the parameter window, you will see that the Snapshot columns now have values: FaaS copied the values of the current optimization to these columns. When you want to restore the saved values, you need to click on the  camera-restore icon.

In the parameter window you have the possibility to hide/unhide the snapshot column. See print screen below.
