To allow more insights BESTMIX feed formulation is equipped with reporting functionality to allow for better and more informed decisions.
Print preview
In the print preview of BESTMIX reports we offer the possibility to save or view the reports in the user's desired format. Apart from saving reports in the usual way - by selecting the desired format and saving the file on your device - they can also be previewed by holding the CTRL key while clicking on the button to watch a preview before clicking "save".
For some formats (like .xls), it can be necessary to finetune the report design to correctly export the information to the Excel columns, the preview option can be very helpful here.
Reports created during rounding can be saved automatically during the rounding process. As explained in this previous tip & trick.
Grid export
Another "report" option is the grid export to Excel. All grids in BESTMIX Feed formulation can be exported to Excel at the click of a button. We will focus on a frequently exported grid, the one to compare different product versions.
The wizard can be activated via Tools -> Management of products.
In the first step you can select compounds and set criteria on product versions.
Two scenarios are frequently used:
- Different compounds are selected with a filter on the most recent products of these compounds
- One compound is selected with a filter on the "x" most recent products (as used in this example)
The "selection products" step gives users an overview of the products.
By default all products are selected.
In the action "compare products", users have the option to compare composition, analysis, target and prices.
The preview will give a grid with the product information.
With the a right-mouse-click on "Export" users can export the grid to their clipboard.
After this they can open Excel to paste the information...
... adjust column width and they're done!
