Many BESTMIX Feed Formulation users use the ingredient and compound families to store regularly-used selections. In most cases these families need to be updated quite often to stay up-to-date.

By using the "dynamic families" functionality you can store the search criteria so BESTMIX automatically updates the family upon use.

You can use these families during multiple amending of ingredients or compounds, this allows you to select ingredients or compounds faster at multiple amending.

You can also use these families during the generation of some list reports.

E.g. Multiple amending of ingredients

1. In the Selection step of the multiple amending screen, click the Find button at the bottom of the window. The find window appears.
2. Click the Family folder and select the family containing the ingredients you want to modify.

3. Click Find now. BESTMIX shows you the list of ingredients of that family.
4. Click Ok. The ingredients are selected in the Multiple amending Selection step.
5. Click Next and go on with the Multiple amending.

E.g. Using families in list reports

1. In the selection step of the generation of the list report, select the Families view instead of the groups view.
2. You now see the available families and you can select the family you wish to use for the generation of this report.
