Last week professionals from the feed, premix, flour milling, aquafeed, pet food and other related industries met at our 2-day event in Belgium. During these days we brought professionals from different industries together to share insights and discuss innovations in feed technology.
With the cooperation of our customers the event was split into a seminar and networking event on day 1 and an on-site company visit to Fides Petfood's brand new production facility on day 2.
Day 1: Seminar at KAA Ghent's Ghelamco Arena
With a variety of speakers the first day focussed on topics such as adapting to the digital age, handling big data, innovations in feed production, quality control and ERP software with lots of practical cases by international industry experts. Among the different presenters were Martin Rijnen (De Heus, Netherlands), Erik Pelemans (Microsoft, Belgium), Hans Van Tendeloo (Nuscience, Belgium), Bert van Gils (Nutreco, Netherlands), Ruven Treude (DTC, Germany) and Jacob Malmros (Pågen AB, Sweden).
Apart from the presentations there was also plenty of time to network during the guided tour of the football stadium and dinner in Ghent's historic city centre.
Day 2: Company visit to Fides Petfood
The second day of the event consisted of a company visit to the new Fides Petfood (Group Depré) production facility in Ostend. This visit gave attendees the chance to experience how innovative solutions in the feed industry, such as BESTMIX and MILAS AX, offer added value in a live environment.
We are happy to have brought together so many professionals and offered a forum to discuss the evolution of technology in our industry.
