Philip Kubesh | IT Manager at Vita Plus Corporation
Philip Kubesh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Management from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN and his MBA from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. He started his career Atlanta, GA working for The Brill Corporations (software development company) for four years as a Technical Marketing Representative. Philip joined the Vita Plus Corporation as the lead Project Manager administering all of their nutrition applications. After 4 years, he became the IT Manager, responsible for all aspects of technology (business and technical). He has been with the Vita Plus Corporation for 20 years. Philip enjoys the challenge of keeping Vita Plus on top of the technological landscape which is rapidly evolving. Philip has extensive knowledge in the feed industry and guiding customers through the challenges of technology to meet their business needs end to end. He is actively involved in industry associations such as Ag CIO and AgGateway. In his spare time, Philip is member of the School Board, he also enjoys hunting, reading and traveling with his family.
Dr. John F. Patience | Professor of Applied Swine Nutrition at Iowa state university
Dr. John Patience is a Professor of Applied Swine Nutrition in the Department of Animal Science at Iowa State University, where his research includes 3 themes: energy metabolism, ingredient evaluation, and wean-to-finish feeding & management. He works closely with Iowa producers to help them maximize profits by implementing practical new technologies to take advantage of new opportunities and solve feeding problems. Over the course of his career, Dr. Patience has published 123 refereed articles, 18 books and book chapters and more than 600 other publications. He has presented more than 400 invited talks at academic and industry conferences across the US and Canada, as well as 15 other countries in South America, Asia and Europe. Dr. Patience has been recognized by such organizations as the Canadian and American Societies of Animal Science, the Iowa Pork Producers Association, JBS United, the ISU Block and Bridle Club and ISU College of Agriculture with 25 local, regional, national and international awards, including the prestigious FASS-AFIA New Frontiers in Animal Nutrition Award, sponsored by the Federation of Animal Science Societies and the American Feed Industry Association.
James L. Dunn | Director Applied Nutrition at ADM Animal Nutrition
James Dunn earned his master’s degree in Biochemistry in Minnesota State in 1987 and a MBA focused in agriculture -Ag from the university of Guelph, Ont. in 2004. Since 1989 James Dunn has worked in lab analysis, research, technical support, sales and production management. In 2015 he went back to research in feed companies that came to be owned by ADM. James is an experienced commercial business manager with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry and he is skilled in Research and Development, Food & Beverage, Business Planning, Food Science and Strategic Planning. James has a unique perspective on conversion and administration of multiple formulation software platforms, and the potential for use of data in large companies.
Peter De Letter | Product Manager BESTMIX Premix and Ration Formulation
Peter De Letter graduated as a Bio-Engineer with a master's degree in Environmental Technology. He started his career developing an Environmental Decision Support System for waste water treatment plants. It was this experience that triggered a shift to software development for the animal feed industry in 2007. Finally, in 2010, Peter became a member of the Adifo team. Peter combines the positions of both senior consultant and product manager for ration formulation and premix industries. He has a passion for working together with customers to bring new solutions to the market while making the industry in general more efficient.
Lynn Verstrepen | Product Manager BESTMIX Feed, Petfood & Aquafeed
Lynn Verstrepen is a Bio-Engineer with a master’s degree in Environmental Technology and a deep interest in both IT and consultancy.These passions combined led Lynn to Adifo, where she started working as a feed industry consultant in 2011. Now she holds the position of product manager for the Feed, Petfood and Aquafeed industries. Lynn is driven by her desire to discover the latest needs and desires in her niche market, but also to engage with all stakeholders.
Karel Vervaet | BESTMIX Development Manager at Adifo
Karel obtained his master’s degree in Bioscience engineering at Ghent University in 1997 and has worked for Adifo ever since. He started his career as junior consultant but quickly rose to the position of senior consultant in the feed formulation software. He now heads the BESTMIX® development team. Given his consultancy experience for many international feed companies, Karel is in a perfect position to look at both the position of BESTMIX® in feed manufacturing organisations as well as its integration options with other software.
