Any company in the nutritional industry knows what it is like to be confronted with risks related to medicated feed supplies. If the flow is not handled correctly within the ERP, it can result in huge problems with customer satisfaction, reputation, and the amount of time needed to solve certain problem cases. If medicated feed supplies are not managed well, it can be disadvantageous for the entire company.
For this reason companies increasingly opt for proactively checking-in their medicated feed supply into their ERP (with limits of inclusion rates, together with prescription control and veterinary management).
Additive and prescription control in MILAS
You can manage the allowed inclusion rate of a specific additive for all your customers OR for a limited set of customers. Moreover, you can set-up the additive check for every different end-product.
You can also set-up a “veterinary control”. This feature displays the responsible veterinarian on the corresponding sales line. It also shows you exactly which veterinarian issued which prescriptions.

The user responsible for prescriptions sees the “medication blocked order’ in his/her workspace (prescription exceeded orders) and can then decide to either use another ‘valid prescription’
or to simply leave the order blocked.
Conclusion
Since animal safety is enormously important within the nutritional supply chain, every sales order containing medicated additives can be controlled on prescription level. For quality control purposes, MILAS therefore provides a structured, safe and user-friendly tool, set out to help your organization supply secure medicated feed to customers.
Supported Dynamics platforms
The described feature is currently available in Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R3 based MILAS. Adifo is in the process of transferring this feature along with many other MILAS features to the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations platform.
