Bestmix feed formulation tags

Generating legally compliant tags for your feed products can take up a lot of time. There are lots of different legislative obligations and commercial interests that need to be taken into account when generating the tags and labels that will accompany your feed product.

Unlike most other formulation solutions, BESTMIX feed formulation can manage, generate and print tags at the click of a button. Users can create legally compliant tags that are inline with your organization's marketing requirements, automatically and worry-free.

Creating feed tags with BESTMIX

As many formulation departments struggle with the complex task of generating feed tags we developed a tag module within BESTMIX feed formulation. This module enables users to automatically generate tags based on their latest feed composition.

Step 1: Generate data

When implementing the solution, users can use the powerful rule engine to generate content and data of tags and labels. Based on the defined rules BESTMIX Feed formulation generates the required data that will appear on the tag. Depending on the templates that users put together, the information can range from:

  • Different languages
  • Collective and/or non-collective terms
  • Lot numbers
  • Drugs and analysis declarations
  • Feeding instructions
  • Compendium claims
  • Barcode types

Naturally the tags can be automatically updated depending on the type of feed or the formula.

Step 2: Layout

Depending on the type of tag the generated data can be put into whatever layout that is required. If desired, the data can also be sent to external layout solutions (such as bartender) to create the tag that will be printed. Data can be exported to the following file formats:

  • SQL data
  • xls
  • pdf
  • rtf
  • text
  • html
  • ...

Step 3: Print

The tag information can be enriched with data (lot number, batch number, expiration date, ...) from external software before being printed on any Windows printer. The data can also be exported to external databases or external (printing or label) software.

This way users can, for example, automatically print a tag, mail it to the production manager and make a back-up on a secured server.

Example

Below you can find an example of a tag that was automatically generated by BESTMIX Feed formulation.
